During 2008 the Branch secured over  

 £91,022.16  

in compensation for our members.

 This included: -  

18 completed Personal Injury claims dealt with by the Union 's solicitors Simpson Millar  

6 completed Personal Injury claims dealt with in-house by the Union 's Legal Department  

3 claims under the Post Office Personal Accident Benefit Scheme dealt with in-house by the Union 's Legal Department.

Members can also obtain free legal advice on non-work related issues by phoning the National Help line 0800 8046674.

 The service is available from 08.00-20.00 Monday to Friday.

 We also represent our members at Medical Appeal Tribunals and Social Security Appeal Tribunals and many thousands of pounds have been accessed to our members through successful appeals.
